The proportion of abrasive wear decreases with the increase of the spray angle, and the proportion of surface fatigue wear increases correspondingly. When the angle is 90, the surface fatigue wear is dominant. At this time, the toughness of materials is very important. The wear rate of materials with good toughness is low, for example, the erosion angle of rubber to 90 degree is the best anti-wear material, while the erosion angle for 0 degree is the worst material.

It can be seen from the diagram that the wear loss of ceramic material is the smallest when it is worn at small angle. The wear of pump pipe is the result of abrasive wear and surface fatigue wear. No matter straight pipe or elbow, abrasive wear is the dominant factor. The steel material with lower hardness is not suitable at this time. In order to improve the service life of the pipe, a kind of material with high hardness and toughness must be found to replace the traditional steel. Ceramic material has high hardness and high toughness. It is the most ideal material for anti abrasion of pump car, and it is widely used in foreign countries.
